Juventus preview: Juve’s top four push

During the March international break, Juventus took the decision to sack manager Thiago Motta and replace him with former Lazio boss Igor Tudor on an interim basis until the end of the season as they seek to finish in the top four and earn UEFA Champions League qualification.

The Old Lady were pegged back to just a point against the aforementioned Lazio last weekend at the Stadio Olimpico, who they sit above on goal difference. They conceded a Matias Vecino equaliser deep into second-half stoppage-time in that match.

Udinese preview: Floundering Friulians

Former Legia Warsaw boss Kosta Runjaic took charge of Udinese last summer as the Friulians sought to regain some stability this season with the owners, the Pozzo family, turning their attention back to the Serie A side and away from Championship outfit Watford.

Udinese most recently continued their coast towards the end of the campaign ‘on the beach’, so to speak, with a 2-1 loss at home at the Bluenergy Stadium to already relegated Monza, which was just Monza’s third victory of the entire campaign.

Juventus team news: Several suspensions

Juventus are dealing with several suspension issues ahead of the visit of Udinese as defenders Pierre Kalulu and Nicola Savona are now sidelined alongside Khephren Thuram. Key men such as Andrea Cambiaso and Teun Koopmeiners are also major injury doubts.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Di Gregorio; Gatti, Veiga, Rouhi; Costa, Locatelli, McKennie, Weah; Gonzalez, Conceicao; Kolo Muani

Unavailable: Kalulu (Suspended), Kelly (Injured), Bremer (Injured), Juan Cabal (Injured), Savona (Suspended), Thuram (Suspended), Milik (Injured)

Questionable: Cambiaso (Injured), Koopmeiners (Injured)

Udinese team news: Suspensions for Udinese

As they make the trip to Turin this weekend, Udinese are also dealing with a couple of suspensions, too, such as Arthur Atta and Lorenzo Lucca. They also have a couple of injury concerns themselves with both Jaka Bijol and Florian Thauvin doubtful.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Okoye; Kristensen, Kabasele, Solet; Modesto, Payero, Karlstrom, Kamara; Iker Bravo, Oier Zarraga; Davis

Unavailable: Toure (Injured), Atta (Suspended), Lucca (Suspended)

Questionable: Bijol (Injured), Thauvin (Injured)

Juventus vs Udinese prediction

Juventus head into this clash with Udinese knowing that they can head into the final day of the season in pole position to earn themselves UEFA Champions League qualification with a victory. Even with the change in management, they have found it difficult to score frequently as they take on an Udinese side that appear to have clocked off for the summer. Juve should win, especially at home, but it is unlikely to be overly enjoyable for the neutral.

Juventus vs Udinese tip: Juventus to win & under 3.5 goals
