Japan vs Spain prediction

Despite ultimately losing 62-19 to New Zealand last weekend, Japan did themselves proud and even started brighter than the Black Ferns, going ahead early in the contest and also scoring first in the second half.

The remain point-less, however, after going down 42-14 to Ireland in their Women’s Rugby World Cup opener.

Spain played their part in an absorbing 43-27 loss to Ireland last time out, picking up a bonus point in defeat.

There was plenty to enjoy about the European outfit’s performance, and they will be targeting this contest against Japan as one to claim a victory in Pool C.

Neither side can qualify for the quarter-finals, but both will be desperate to leave England with a win under their belts. Having caused Ireland plenty of problems last weekend, we think Spain might just edge this.
