Japan vs France prediction

One of two nations who boasted a 100% record over the course of the group stage, Japan enter the round of 16 in red hot form, which does not bode well for France. Whilst Japan topped Group A without conceding a single goal, France finished third-place in Group E with two wins and loss at the hands of USA. Les Bleus also average over a goal conceded per game.

Japan looks like a team capable of winning it all, especially when taking into account their defensive prowess. Never once have they look threatened and with at least two goals scored in each of their games so far, they boast an excellent mix of attacking potency and solidity at the back. Expect them to wind up too strong for France in 90 minutes.

Japan vs France tip: Japan to win
