In the first-leg of this UEFA Europa Conference League third qualifying round tie at the Viking Stadion in Norway last week, Istanbul Basaksehir produced a second-half turnaround to win by three goals to one. Viking went ahead in the second minute via Sander Svendsen, before Istanbul Basaksehir managed to run riot in the final half an hour of the game thanks to strikes from Denez Turuc, Christopher Operi and Davie Selke.
Istanbul Basaksehir managed to comfortably defeat Bulgarian First League side Cherno More by five goals to nil on aggregate in the second qualifying round, whilst Viking annihilated Slovenian side Koper by 12 goals to three on aggregate.
Viking have shown, even against Istanbul Baskasehir, that they can be effective in attack, so this is expected to be an entertaining and high-scoring encounter in Norway.
