Ireland vs Spain prediction

Ireland made a statement of intent with a 42-14 victory on their return to the Women’s World Cup last weekend, running in six tries in an impressive display.

At an all-time high of fifth in the world rankings, hopes were high pre-tournament that Ireland could go deep in England, and those aspirations have not been dimmed by their opening performance.

Spain were, as expected, beaten handily by New Zealand last weekend, although they will have been pleased to get a try on the board in the dying moments of what was ultimately a 54-8 defeat to the Black Ferns.

Ranked 13th in the world, Spain’s expectations in this tournament are not lofty, and a success for them here would be to keep the score to a respectable level.

Ireland vs Spain tip: Ireland to win with -32 handicap
