He is also hopeful that Aaron Ramsdale will be available as they make the trip up to Suffolk.

Ipswich vs Southampton Prediction

Kieran McKenna’s Ipswich Town enjoyed a spurt just before the end of the year with a 2-0 win over Chelsea at Portman Road giving them a real chance of survival. However, the Tractor Boys come into this one on the back of collecting just one point from their next four matches, conceding 14 goals in the process, albeit against tough opposition. Southampton’s performances have minorly improved since the appointment of Ivan Juric with a more direct and conservative approach. They took the lead against Newcastle United last weekend but eventually suffered a 3-1 loss and they remain on just six points, five adrift of the record lowest points tally in Premier League history, set by Derby County in 2008. Saints will fancy their chances of exploiting an open Ipswich back-line but the hosts must surely get themselves a vital three points in Suffolk this weekend.
