In the first-leg of this UEFA Europa Conference League second qualifying round tie at Stadion Stozice in the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana last week, Olimpija defeated Inter Club by four goals to two. The Andorrans took a surprise 2-0 lead in that game via goals from David Humanes and Rafinha, before Diogo Pinto notched a hat-trick for Olimpija, followed by a first-leg-clinching victory scored by Ahmet Muhamedbegovic.
Inter Club d’Escaldes put up a stern test for FCSB in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League earlier this month, and that will be a concern for Olimpija as they now travel away from home.
Olimpija remain favourites for the tie and to progress into the third qualifying round, but the Andorrans have already shown they are capable of bloodying their nose.
