This was always expected to be an entertaining tie and that proved to be the case in the first-leg in Turkey as the Turks defeated Hungary by three goals to one ahead of their clash in Budapest.

Hungary vs Türkiye Prediction

Both Hungary and Turkey, under the management of Italian coaches Marco Rossi and Vincenzo Montella, play tactically intriguing and generally exciting styles of football but Turkey managed to defeat the Hungarians by three goals to one in the first-leg the other day.

League B side Turkey, who reached the quarter-finals of UEFA EURO 2024 last summer, should have won their group in the autumn before a loss to Montenegro in their final game. They managed to defeat Hungary the other day thanks to goals from Orkan Kokcu, Kerem Akturkoglu as well as Irfan Can Kahveci.

Hungary did manage to defeat Scotland in the group stages of UEFA EURO 2024 in dramatic fashion but they were eliminated at the first phase. With Marco Rossi’s relationist tactical style, the Hungarians have been solid and finished third in a tough League A group in the UEFA Nations League consisting of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Germany and the Netherlands.

Hungary, with home advantage in Budapest, will be favoured to take the game to an open and often chaotic but entertaining Turkey side so it should be a fun watch for the neutral this week.

Hungary vs Türkiye Tip: Over 2.5 goals
