Ironically, Rooney's final Man Utd Premier League hat-trick also came against Bolton, the same club who were victims of that first top flight hat-trick just under five years earlier. But Rooney's most memorable hat-trick in the Premier League came against Arsenal on August 28th 2011, as Sir Alex Ferguson's side thrashed Arsene Wenger's Gunners 8-2 at Old Trafford, a notorious scoreline between two great Premier League rivals.
But Rooney registered more than just six hat-tricks across his Premier League career, he added a seventh in 2017 whilst playing for boyhood club Everton in his second spell with the Toffees, the team who brought him through and gave him his Premier League debut. Those three goals came in a 4-0 win over West Ham at Goodison Park.
