It is the Marco Baroni derby. Baroni departed Hellas Verona for Lazio over the summer after producing a miracle at the Marcantonio Bentegodi and he now takes his stumbling capital city club to the Beneto this weekend.

Hellas Verona Team News: A few injuries

The home team have no fresh injury concerns or suspension issues for this weekend’s visit of Lazio so they will be able to name an unchanged eleven for this one.

However, Verona are dealing with a quartet of injury issues as midfield duo Martin Frese and Abdou Harroui remain sidelined alongside both Daniele Ghilardi and Juan Manuel Cruz.

Predicted XI (3-4-1-2): Montipo; Magnani, Coppola, Dawidowicz; Faraoni, Belahyane, Duda, Lazovic; Suslov; Tengstedt, Sarr

Unavailable: Ghilardi (Injured), Frese (Injured), Harroui (Injured), Juan Manuel Cruz (Injured)

Lazio Team News: Tchaouna suspension

Lazio will be without forward Loum Tchaouna for this weekend as he is missing through suspension following his red card against Como at the Stadio Olimpico last weekend.

They are also dealing with experienced absentees all over the pitch due to injury such as centre-back Patric, defensive midfielder Matias Vecino and versatile attacker Pedro.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Provedel; Lazzari, Gigot, Romagnoli, Pellegrini; Guendouzi, Rovella; Isaksen, Noslin, Dele-Bashiru; Dia

Unavailable: Patric (Injured), Matias Vecino (Injured), Lazzari (Injured), Tchaouna (Suspended), Pedro (Injured)

Hellas Verona vs Lazio Prediction

Paolo Zanetti’s Hellas Verona come into this one on the back of a 2-0 defeat to league leaders Napoli at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona last weekend due to an own goal and a strike from Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa. The home team sit just outside of the bottom three and the relegation places. They now face a Lazio side that most recently shared a 1-1 draw with Como at the Olimpico last weekend with the visitors now having managed just one win in their last five matches as they fall away from the Serie A title race. Verona will sense fragility so may well attack, whilst Lazio will look to assert themselves so both teams scoring looks a good bet for this one.

Hellas Verona vs Lazio Tip: Both teams to score
