It has been a miserable defence of their Swedish title for Hacken as they sit in the bottom-half domestically ahead of taking on Rayo Vallecano this midweek.

Hacken vs Rayo Vallecano prediction

Hacken currently sit 33 points behind the champions Mjallby in the Swedish Allsvenskan after winning just nine of their 27 league games. They began the league phase of the UEFA Europa Conference League with a goalless draw against 2024 Irish champions Shelbourne a few weeks ago.

Inigo Perez is expected to have his work cut out balancing European and domestic commitments as Rayo Vallecano struggle at the start of this season. The Madrid-based club did, though, manage to hammer newly-promoted Levante by three goals to nil at Estadio Ciutat de Valencia at the weekend.

Rayo will head to Sweden as the firm favourites for this one, despite their fairly thin squad, and they should ease to another European victory.
