Grimsby Town, under the management of Dave Artell, famously defeated Manchester United on penalties at Blundell Park in August in the second round of the EFL Cup. They have a good squad and can play good football but a lack of consistency in the league does leave them sitting in the middle-of-the-table in League Two.

Weston-super-Mare are the lowest ranked team to reach the third round of this season’s FA Cup and they will head to Blundell Park with a bit of confidence. They are currently sitting second in the National League South table, having hammered Farnborough by four goals to one last weekend.

There is something very interesting about Grimsby being the David up against Goliath just a few months ago, only to be the giant against a minnow in the same season.
