Grimsby vs Newport prediction

Under the management of former Crewe Alexandra boss Dave Artell, Grimsby Town started their League Two season with an impressive 3-0 hammering of Crawley Town at Blundell Park. That was followed by a thrilling 3-3 draw with Harrogate Town at Wetherby Road before a 3-1 defeat of Shrewsbury Town in the first round of the EFL Cup.

They now face a Newport County side that are four games into their season with a penalty shootout victory over Barnet and a 1-0 loss to Millwall in the cup. In the league, the Exiles started with a 1-1 draw against Notts County at Rodney Parade before a surprise 2-1 victory away from home against a chaotic Crawley Town side.

Both Notts County and Crawley have underwhelmed and appear to be in poor states at the moment, so siding with a strong and fun Grimsby side at home is a good bet.
