Grimsby vs Brentford prediction

Grimsby Town overcame Manchester United on penalties in a famous win in the second round of the EFL Cup in August before defeating Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough in the third round. The Mariners have been entertaining to watch as they sit tucked inside the top seven and the playoff places in League Two.

Despite concerns that Brentford would be cannon fodder in the Premier League this season, the Bees have been a lot steadier than expected and they come into this one on the back of a 2-0 win away at West Ham United before a thrilling 3-2 victory against out of form defending champions Liverpool in the Premier League.

Brentford have often binned off cup competitions since being in the top-flight but Andrews may want to take it a bit more seriously, albeit Grimsby will believe they can at least pose a threat.

Grimsby vs Brentford tip: Brentford to win & both teams to score
