Greece vs Scotland Prediction

That improvement at club level for Greece has involved Olympiakos winning the UEFA Europa Conference League, whilst internationally they narrowly missed out on UEFA EURO 2024 qualification and have recently enjoyed an impressive UEFA Nations League campaign.

Following their promotion from League C in the previous edition, the Greeks began their 2024/25 campaign well and then produced a famous result to defeat England by two goals to one at Wembley Stadium. They eventually finished below the Three Lions but still finished level on points with the back-to-back runners’ up of the UEFA European Championships.

Scotland, under the management of Steve Clarke, have qualified for each of the last two UEFA European Championships and, at club level, they have had a European finalist with Rangers in the 2022 UEFA Europa League. They were in horrible form until they finished their League A campaign very well with results against Croatia, Poland and Portugal.

Greece have a rigidity in defence helped by the quality of Vangelis Pavlidis and Fotis Ioannidis in attack and a double chance bet in their favour in Athens looks the way to go for this first-leg.

Greece vs Scotland Tip: Double chance – Greece to win or draw
