TSZ TIPS
WILL ZALATORIS
- Last season’s PGA Tour Rookie of the Year Will Zalatoris has produced some eye-catching performances since his debut and this course looks suited to his ability to find the green, something he excels at.
- Zalatoris has shown he can mix it with the best having finished second in the Masters and comes into this on the back of a rest having finished in eighth spot in the Memphis World Golf Championships with that effort setting him up nicely for a tilt at this season opener.
TIP: Winner e/w (22/1)
KEVIN NA
- Kevin Na was left frustrated in his efforts to make the USA team for the Ryder Cup with Steve Stricker leaving him out of his side but that could galvanise the 38-year-old as he looks to show the captain that he was wrong to leave him out.
- Billy Horschel was another to miss out on Ryder Cup selection and he turned that blow into a positive by winning at Wentworth last week with Na coming into this in good form having posted the joint-lowest score at the Tour Championship so expect him to go close once again here.
TIP: Winner e/w (22/1)
BRENDAN STEELE
- Brendan Steele struggled last season with his consistency falling off a cliff but this fresh campaign will represent a line in the sand for the American who will hope to put those woes behind him at the first attempt back on a favourable course.
- Steele is a two-time winner of this event having clinched the title in back-to-back years in 2016 and 2017 so he knows how to come out on top at Silverado and he looks a big price to get into the mix.
TIP: Winner e/w (100/1)
