Gibraltar come into this one on the back of beginning their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign by taking a surprise 13th minute lead in Niksic against Montenegro, via Dan Bent. They went on to lose that game by three goals to one against the Montenegrins before then suffering a 4-0 annihilation at the hands of Czechia in Prague.

They now face a Croatia side that, under the management of Zlatko Dalic, have an experienced, ageing squad that hasn’t really been refreshed in quite a long time.
