Germany vs Italy prediction

Germany began the group stages of the 2025 UEFA U21 European Championships with a 3-0 hammering of Slovenia before then entertainingly defeating Czechia by four goals to two. That was then followed up by a 2-1 defeat of Lee Carsley’s England the other day thanks to goals from Ansgar Knauff and Nelson Weiper.

The Italians, on the other hand, ended up finishing as runners’ up in Group A, finishing behind Spain on goal difference. The Italians edged past Romania and Slovakia, both with 1-0 victories, before then sharing a 1-1 draw with Spain in their final group game, with Nicolo Pisilli equalising in the 59th minute.

Germany have been brilliant to watch in this tournament, and that is perhaps in stark comparison to a more obdurate Italy side, and a German win would appear likelier.
