Germany, under the management of Antonio Di Salvo, have a strong squad this time around and especially in midfield with captain Eric Martel, as well as Paul Nebel, Rocco Reitz, Paul Wanner and Brajan Gruda, whilst Nick Woltemade of Stuttgart is in attack, having been named in Germany’s UEFA Nations League squad, too.
Slovenia come into this one on the back of a slender 1-0 defeat to Finland’s U21 side in their most recent outing, during the March international break. The Slovenians have managed just one win in their last five matches and just two in their last seven. They are, like their senior side, expected to be stubborn to play against, though.
Slovenia will seek to sit back against Germany in Slovakia in this opening game, but a strong German side are expected to come out on top, and likely with a clean sheet.
