Genoa preview: Solid Genoa

Genoa come into this one on the back of an inconsistent run of form, having succumbed to a 2-0 loss to Internazionale at San Siro last weekend due to goals scored by Federico Dimarco and Hakan Calhanoglu.

The home team will be quite content with that inconsistency, though, because their season began with an 11-match winless run of form, whereas they now sit clear of the bottom three and the relegation places.

Roma preview: Becoming more fun

Roma head into this one on the back of a frustrating clash with Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico, having gone 3-1 up against the Bianconeri before slipping to a 3-3 draw with late strikes from Juve in the capital city.

The Giallorossi will be encouraged by the fact that that game began to show the best of the attacking football that Gian Piero Gasperini has earned a reputation for from his previous managerial stint with Atalanta.

Genoa team news: No Baldanzi

Roma loanee Tommaso Baldanzi is unavailable to play against his parent club due to a thigh injury, while Sebastian Otoa and Brooke Norton-Cuffy remain doubts.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Biljow; Marcandalli, Ostigard, Johan Vasquez; Ellertsson, Malinovskiy, Frendrup, Caricol; Junior Messias, Vitinha; Colombo

Unavailable: Baldanzi (Injured)

Questionable: Otoa (Injured), Norton-Cuffy (Injured)

Roma team news: Wesley suspended

Key man Wesley is missing through suspension for the Romans this weekend, while Matias Soule and Paulo Dybala are doubtful in the final third for the Giallorossi.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Svilar; Celik, Mancini, Ndicka; Rensch, Cristante, Kone, Angelino; Pisilli, Pellegrini; Malen

Unavailable: Wesley (Suspended), Dovbyk (Injured), Ferguson (Injured)

Questionable: Mario Hermoso (Injured), Matias Soule (Injured), Dybala (Injured)

Genoa vs Roma prediction

Gasperini has majorly improved Roma this season but his side have yet to really click in terms of the extremely attacking style of the experienced Italian - perhaps until of late. Genoa have been awkward customers for a few months and that is especially the case in Liguria so this has the potential to be a really fun and entertaining watch for the neutral on Sunday.

Genoa vs Roma tip: Both teams to score
