Gangwon vs Machida Zelvia prediction

Gangwon come into this one on the back of beginning their 2026 K League campaign with a 3-1 defeat to Ulsan in their most recent outing at the weekend. Last month, the South Koreans shared a couple of goalless draws against Melbourne City and Shanghai Port to round off their AFC Champions League group stage.

Machida Zelvia finished sixth in the 2025 Japanese J1 League, falling from being champions in 2023 and then finishing third in 2024. The Japanese outfit defeated JEF United by two goals to one domestically at the weekend, to extend their unbeaten run of form to ten matches across all competitions.

This game may well be quite even with Gangwon having the home advantage in South Korea but Zelvia have to be seen as the team more likely to come out on top.

Gangwon vs Machida Zelvia tip: Double chance – Machida Zelvia to win or draw
