Galatasaray preview: Entertaining Gala

Galatasaray head into this one on the back of an impressive 2-1 defeat of Istanbul Basaksehir at the Fatih Terim Stadium in the Turkish Super Lig at the weekend, courtesy of a brace of goals scored by Germany international winger Leroy Sane.

Gala are top-of-the-table in Turkey with 25 points collected from their nine matches domestically. They also most recently defeated Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League, with Victor Osimhen notching from the penalty spot.

Bodo/Glimt preview: Strong start for Bodo

Kjetil Knutsen remains in charge of Bodo/Glimt, despite how far he has been able to take the Norwegians, including reaching the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League, where they lost to Tottenham Hotspur last season.

They then faced Tottenham in the UEFA Champions League up in the Arctic Circle a couple of weeks ago, sharing a 2-2 draw with the Premier League giants. That came a fortnight after a 2-2 draw in Prague against Slavia Prague.

Galatasaray team news: No Singo

The star studded squad of Galatasaray is dealing with just one injury concern for this one as former Monaco defender Wilfried Singo remains sidelined for the Turkish giants.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Cakir; Jakobs, Sanchez, Bardakci, Elmali; Torreira, Lemina; Sane, Gundogam, Yildiz; Osimhen

Unavailable: Singo (Injured)

Questionable:

Bodo/Glimt team news: Saltnes a doubt

Uli Saltnes is and has been a key man for Bodo over recent years but he is missing through illness for this one, whilst fellow key man Patrick Berg is a yellow card away from suspension.

Predicted XI (4-5-1): Haikin; Sjovold, Bjortuft, Aleesami, Bjorkan; Evjen, Berg, Fet, Auklend, Hauge; Hogh

Unavailable: Saltnes (Illness)

Questionable: Bassi (Injured), Brynhildsen (Injured)

Galatasaray vs Bodo/Glimt prediction

Galatasaray played with more of a reactive and pragmatic style of football against Liverpool a few weeks ago. However, they are naturally more front foot with their abundance of attacking talent. Bodo/Glimt, on the other hand, will believe they can hurt and punish pretty much anyone on the counter-attack and so this one should be quite a fun watch for the neutral in Turkey this week.

Galatasaray vs Bodo/Glimt Tip: Over 2.5 goals
