Fulham preview: Improved Fulham

Fulham have been improved of late but the Cottagers do come into this one on the back of a second 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United at St James’ Park within the last month, suffering a loss to the Magpies in the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup.

They have won three of their last five matches in the Premier League, with their most recent outing in the league coming at Turf Moor last weekend as they defeated Burnley by three goals to two with Emile Smith Rowe, Calvin Bassey and Harry Wilson goals.

Nottingham Forest preview: Improved Forest

Ever since the appointment of Sean Dyche, who became Nottingham Forest’s third manager of the campaign after the departures of Nuno Espirito Santo and Ange Postecoglou, the visitors have been much-improved.

That continued last weekend as they eased to a comfortable 3-0 defeat of Tottenham Hotspur at the City Ground, meaning that they have now suffered three defeats in 12 matches across all competitions during the Dyche reign.

Fulham vs Nottingham Forest prediction

Fulham have been playing much better of late with the Cottagers playing with a bit more fluency and cohesion in the final third. They are expected to show signs of a dip in the next couple of weeks, though, with the absence of Bassey and Iwobi a big blow. Forest head down to the capital city set to lay the trap to hit on the counter-attack, which they are suited to, and siding with the visitors may well be a good value bet for this one in west London.
