Fulham preview: Inconsistent Cottagers

In their 24 matches so far this season, Fulham have managed ten victories with ten defeats and four draws as the Cottagers seek to target European qualification, but they will require a bit more consistency.

Last weekend, Fulham fought back from 2-0 down late on against Manchester United at Old Trafford but the Cottagers eventually succumbed to defeat due to a late strike scored by Slovenia international attacker Benjamin Sesko.

Everton preview: The push for Europe

David Moyes and his Everton side are themselves believing they can push towards a top seven or eight finish and potential European qualification with the Toffees now on a four-match unbeaten run of form ahead of this one.

The frustration has been that three of those four matches have ended up in a draw with the Merseysiders managing to snatch a point at the AMEX Stadium via a late Beto equaliser against Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend.

Fulham team news: Muniz & Tete back

Kenny Tete is now back in contention for Fulham and could start after the poor performance of Timothy Castagne at Old Trafford last weekend.

Rodrigo Muniz has also returned to full fitness and his back available for this weekend but Serbia international midfielder Sasa Lukic remains sidelined for the hosts.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Tete, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Berge, Iwobi; Wilson, Smith Rowe, Kevin; Jimenez

Unavailable: Lukic (Injured)

Questionable:

Everton team news: Mykolenko fit

In his pre-match press conference, David Moyes has confirmed that Vitaly Mykolenko is fit again but it remains to be seen as to whether he displaced Jarrad Branthwaite in the side at left-back.

Jack Grealish could miss the rest of the season with a foot injury but there are no other concerns and Tyrique George could make his Toffees debut having arrived from Chelsea last week.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Pickford; O'Brien, Tarkowski, Keane, Branthwaite; Garner, Gueye; Dewsbury-Hall, Armstrong, Ndiaye; Barry

Unavailable: Grealish (Injured)

Questionable:

Fulham vs Everton prediction

Everton have been fortunate to earn those three draws in the last month or so with Brighton, Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers having all been the better of the two sides in their clashes. There would, or perhaps should, therefore be a thought process that a defeat is around the corner for the visitors and so siding with Fulham, especially with their home advantage, is the way to go for this one.
