They now face a Utrecht side that have begun their UEFA Europa League league phase campaign with back-to-back 1-0 defeats against Olympique Lyonnais and then Brann. The visitors most recently comfortably defeated Volendam by three goals to one in the Eredivisie the other day.
With their home advantage, and the average form in this competition of the Dutch visitors, siding with Freiburg in a low-scoring encounter seems a good bet for this one.
