Freiburg Preview: Unbeaten but lacking wins

Although Freiburg are currently in the midst of an unbeaten streak of seven games in the Bundesliga, victories have dried up from their perspective with each of their last three matches ending level. Consecutive 0-0 draws against Augsburg and RB Leipzig respectively was followed up by a 2-2 draw away at high-flying Mainz.

With successive home games now on the horizon for Freiburg, they’ve surely be targeting four points at least against Union Berlin and an out of sorts Borussia Dortmund. That would put them right back in top four contention.

Union Berlin Preview: Four points from last two

Union Berlin started to turn results around just prior to the international break, claiming four points from the last six available to them. Most impressive about this was the opponents whom Union earned the points from. After a 1-2 win away at Eintracht Frankfurt, Union managed to hold Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich to a 1-1 draw.

Currently, the visitors sit safely in midtable with 27 points to their name. Although a bad run would see them vulnerable with six points currently between them and the bottom three heading into this latest round of fixtures.

Freiburg Team News: Home side without three

Freiburg are missing three players for the visit of Union Berlin, all of whom are out due to injury. Kyereh, Ogbus and Rohl are the three men to miss out.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Atubolu; Sildillia, Ginter, Lienhart, Gunter; Eggestein, Osterhage; Doan, Dinkci, Grifo; Holer

Unavailable: Kyereh (Injured), Ogbus (Injured), Rohl (Injured)

Union Berlin Team News: Skov facing late fitness check

Union faces an anxious wait over Skov in the lead up to this one, as he undergoes a fitness test to determine whether he will be available for selection. Both Kemlein and Ogbemudia meanwhile are definitely out injured.

Predicted XI (3-4-3): Ronnow; Doekhi, Querfeld, Leite; Trimmel, Haberer, Khedira, Rousillon; Jeong, Ilic, Hollerbach

Unavailable: Kemlein (Injured), Ogbemudia (Injured)

Questionable: Skov (Injured)

Freiburg vs Union Berlin Prediction

Freiburg cannot afford to show any kind of complacency here, especially when taking into account the recent upturn in form demonstrated by Union Berlin before the international break. If the visitors can get points against Bayern Munich and Eintracht Frankfurt, then they can certainly do so against Freiburg.

However, this Freiburg team are a motivated bunch following their recent spate of draws and a team of their quality should prove too strong for the away side with a high-level performance here. Utilise the draw no bet market for extra security and back Freiburg.

Freiburg vs Union Berlin Tip: Freiburg draw no bet
