Freiburg preview: Unbeaten run now at four
Freiburg are putting together some promising results recently and come into this game directly following the international break having not lost in their last four Bundesliga fixtures, although the last two of those games have ended in draws against Hoffenheim and Borussia Monchengladbach respectively.
Failing to break down a struggling Gladbach side last time out will have been an extreme source of frustration for everyone associated with Freiburg whether it be the players, head coach or fans. But with the worse defence in the Bundesliga next up, this is a perfect chance to bounce back.
Eintracht Frankfurt preview: Looking to get back into top six
After a rampant start to the new season, Eintracht Frankfurt have come down to earth with a bang with three defeats in their last four league matches. Just as worrying has been their total defensive collapse, having conceded a mammoth 14 goals over that four-game period, an average of three and a half goals per match.
Scoring goals is not an issue for Eintracht and in Jonathan Burkardt they boast one of the most potent strikers in the Bundesliga. But having to score multiple goals a game in order to pick up any points is proving a millstone around the Frankfurt attackers’ necks.
Freiburg team news: Illness rules out Irie
Freiburg are missing striker Cyriaque Irie due to illness and Daniel-Kofi Kyereh is still yet to recover from injury. Aside from those two, the hosts should have a clean bill of health for this game.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Atubolu; Kubler, Ginter, Lienhart, Makengo; Eggestein, Osterhage; Beste, Manzambi, Grifo; Adamu
Unavailable: Irie (Illness), Kyereh (Injured)

Eintracht Frankfurt team news: Two injury absentees
Eintracht Frankfurt are set to be without two players for the trip to Freiburg. Both right-back Elias Baum and forward Jessic Ngankam are expected to miss out with thigh injuries.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Santos; Kristensen, Koch, Theate, Brown; Larsson, Chaibi; Doan, Uzun, Bahoya; Burkardt
Unavailable: Baum (Injured), Ngankam (Injured)

Freiburg vs Eintracht Frankfurt prediction
Whilst Freiburg are yet to reach double-figures when it comes to Bundesliga goals this season, Eintracht Frankfurt are already at 17. Unfortunately for the visitors, they’ve also conceded 16 times and this opens the door for Julian Schuster’s side in this match, especially with home advantage being in their favour.
With Burkardt up top and an excellent supporting cast behind him, it’s hard to see Eintracht not getting on the scoresheet at least once here. However, with such a poor backline and a goalkeeper becoming accustomed to picking the ball out of his own net, Freiburg should be able to fight fire with fire. Therefore, back both teams to score in this match.
