France were expected to find life in this tournament difficult with a distinct lack of star power compared to their opponents. That proved to be the case against Switzerland as their offensive line lacked potency, finding the Swiss backline and goaltender impenetrable. Another tough opponent now awaits in Czechia, who are also coming off the back of playing the day before this encounter.

Whilst it will be a challenge for the Czechia players to go again following limited rest, the strength-in-depth they boast among their squad should allow them not to suffer a dip in standards. France are a far weaker, more limited side compared to Canada and it would be a surprise if Czechia weren’t to triumph comfortably.
