This Andalusian derby is a really intriguing one. Following promotion last season, the ambitious Almeria come into this on the back of two good performances. They took the lead against reigning champions Real Madrid on the opening day but eventually fell to a 2-1 loss at home. After that, they backed it up with a 1-1 draw away to usually-good-at-home Elche last week. They now face a Sevilla side that have their manager under major pressure. It was a surprise that Julen Lopetegui remained in charge of the club and they have started with a 2-1 loss at Osasuna before being held to a 1-1 draw at home to newly-promoted Real Valladolid. Almeria, especially with home advantage, will be confident of being the next team to frustrate their regional rivals and a draw would appear the likeliest outcome for this one.
