THE PREDICTION

Germany have won the UEFA Under-21 European Championships three times with the most recent of those wins coming in 2021. Antonio Di Salvo’s side is not quite as strong as previous iterations but they do still have some experienced and impressive young players, most notably in attack with Kevin Schade and Youssoufa Moukoko. They now face an Israeli side that come into this on the back of a 2-0 defeat at home to Belgium last week. They have won just two of their last 11 matches inside 90 minutes. Germany will be expected to begin their group stage campaign with a relatively comfortable victory here.
