THE PREDICTION
Republic of Ireland were unable to respond to their late heartbreak
against Portugal as they stuttered to an extremely disappointing draw
with Azerbaijan at the weekend. Their qualifying hopes already look to
be in tatters with that point the only one they have earned from four
matches to date and they now come up against the side at the top of
Group A. Serbia come into this with ten points having performed
consistently so far and they notched four times in their clash with
Luxembourg on Saturday. They will be full of confidence on the back of
that and while this should be a tough contest, the Serbians look set to
be too strong and should earn another three points.
