THE LOWDOWN

FULHAM

Under the management of former Hull City, Watford and Everton boss Marco Silva, Fulham have pushed themselves into the middle-of-the-table in the Premier League, despite the fact that the general assumption and suggestion by the neutral so far this season has been they have been relatively underwhelming.

The Cottagers come into this one on the back of a 2-1 defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux in their most recent outing, last weekend. Rayan Ait-Nouri scored a 52nd opening goal in that game before Tom Cairney then scored an own goal to double that lead then Alex Iwobi scored a 98th minute consolation goal.

TOTTENHAM

The mood is good at Tottenham Hotspur and it improved last weekend as they emerged from Villa Park with a pivotal three points after hammering Aston Villa by four goals to nil. Ange Postecoglou’s men ran riot in the midlands with second-half goals from James Maddison, Brennan Johnson, Son Heung-min and Timo Werner punishing John McGinn’s 65th minute red card.

Spurs have now enjoyed three victories in their last four matches as they compete for a top four finish and UEFA Champions League qualification but that was perhaps their first really emphatic and convincing win since defeating AFC Bournemouth by three goals to one at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on New Year’s Eve.

THE TEAM NEWS

FULHAM

Marco Silva has confirmed that he has a fully fit and available squad for this weekend's derby with no new injury concerns or suspension issues.

That means Mexican international striker Raul Jimenez has returned to the first-team fold after missing the last month or so with a hamstring injury.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Castagne, Adarabioyo, Bassey, Robinson; Reed, Palhinha; Wilson, Andreas Pereira, Willian; Rodrigo Muniz

UNAVAILABLE:

QUESTIONABLE:

TOTTENHAM

Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that key defender Micky van de Ven will be unavailable for this one due to injury but he could return to the squad after the March international break.

Brazilian striker Richarlison trained in midweek and 'should be available' at Craven Cottage. Spurs do remain without the likes of Fraser Forster, Ryan Sessegnon and Manor Solomon.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Vicario; Pedro Porro, Romero, Dragusin, Udogie; Bentancur, Sarr; Kulusevski, Maddison, Werner; Son

UNAVAILABLE: Forster (Injured), Van de Ven (Injured), Sessegnon (Injured), Solomon (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Richarlison (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

This London derby will likely still be a competitive one because, as mentioned, despite the fact many would suggest Fulham have been wildly inconsistent this season, they do still have a plethora of attacking options combined with a front foot style of football. Tottenham Hotspur have been generally leaky at the back and that is expected to continue with the absence of Micky van de Ven so whilst Spurs are favourites, it should be an entertaining encounter at Craven Cottage.

TIP: TOTTENHAM TO WIN & BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
