Fiorentina have a very busy few weeks ahead but they remain in danger as they welcome a solid Parma side to the Artemio Franchi on Sunday afternoon.

Fiorentina preview: In the battle

Fiorentina come into this one on the back of a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Udinese, ending what had been an impressive and much-needed three match unbeaten run of form in Serie A.

I Viola remain in trouble and the fact that loss to Udinese came after losing 3-0 at home to Jagiellonia Bialystok and needing to get through in extra-time in their knockout playoff round tie of the UEFA Europa Conference League will be a concern for the hosts.

Parma preview: Solid Parma

Parma, with Mikel Arteta's former Arsenal assistant coach Carlos Cuesta, have been very steady throughout this campaign and now they are getting improved results to back up a reasonably good performance level.

The visitors come into this one on the back of a 1-1 draw against Cagliari at the Ennio Tardini last weekend, backing up three successive victories against AC Milan, Hellas Verona and Bologna.

Fiorentina team news: Parisi suspended

Central midfielder Fabiano Parisi is missing through suspension for Fiorentina, while Italy international striker Moise Kean is once again an injury doubt.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): David de Gea; Pongracic, Rugani, Ranieri; Harrison, Mandragora, Fagioli, Brescianini, Gosens; Gudmundsson, Piccoli

Unavailable: Lezzerini (Injured), Lamptey (Injured), Parisi (Suspended), Solomon (Injured)

Questionable: Kean (Injured)

Parma team news: Valenti suspended

Defender Lautaro Valenti is missing through suspension for this one, while midfield duo Enrico Del Prato and Emanuele Valeri are fresh doubts for the visitors.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Corvi; Circati, Troilo, Carboni; Britschgi, Adrian Bernabe, Keita, Caviglia, Ordonez; Mateo Pellegrino, Strefezza

Unavailable: Valenti (Suspended), Almqvist (Injured), Frigan (Injured)

Questionable: Del Prato (Injured), Ndiaye (Injured), Valeri (Injured)

Fiorentina vs Parma prediction

Parma have been very solid and difficult to play against in the last couple of months and that is not the type of game Fiorentina will fancy, especially with a European tie against Rakow Czestochowa coming up in midweek. Home advantage means it is tough to back against Fiorentina but, regardless of the match result, it could be an attritional affair in Florence.

Fiorentina vs Parma tip: Under 2.5 goals
