Finland vs Sweden prediction
Sweden were not at their best initially from a defensive standpoint, but improved steadily against Italy, leading to a shut out third period in an eventual 5-2 victory. Offensively, they posed a consistent threat as you would expect with the ability of those attacking players at their disposal and the expectation is that goals shouldn’t be an issue for them across the tournament, especially here against a Finland side who looked vulnerable in their opening match.
Taking on Slovakia, Finland ran out of gas as the game went on and with the score at 1-1 heading into the third period, the Finnish players were overwhelmed from an attacking perspective by Slovakia, leading to three unanswered goals and a 4-1 loss. The likelihood is that Sweden will also be able to overpower this Finland defence on the ice and backing the former has to be favoured.
