Finland U21 vs Netherlands U21 prediction
Finland’s U21 side come into this one on the back of a 4-2 loss to Georgia, before a 1-0 win over Slovenia during the March international break. They came through a playoff tie against Norway in November, as they defeated the Norwegians by six goals to three on aggregate, despite losing by two goals to one in the second-leg.
They now face a Netherlands side that, coached by Michael Reiziger, have an abundance of talent in their squad, such as Ian Maatsen, Devyne Rensch, Ryan Flamingo, Kenneth Taylor and Noah Ohio. It isn’t a vintage Dutch U21 side but, in a weak group, they will be expected to come out on top of Group D.
Alongside Finland, the Netherlands have Denmark and Ukraine in their group – and the heavy Group D favourites should come out on top quite comfortably in their opening game.
