Ferencvaros vs Viktoria Plzen Prediction

Robbie Keane took the surprising decision to leave Maccabi Tel-Aviv for Ferencvaros in December with the Hungarians looking to go deep into UEFA competition.

Ferencvaros haven’t won a European knockout tie since 1975 but they’ll believe they have a real chance this week. The hosts come into this one on the back of a tricky run of form, though, with their most recent outing, a 1-0 defeat to Puskas Akademia at the weekend, meaning that they have managed just one win in Keane’s five matches in charge across all competitions.

Viktoria Plzen, on the other hand, were very impressive in the league phase of this competition and will believe they were unfortunate to have missed out on the top eight and automatic knockout qualification. They most recently defeated Slovan Liberec by three goals to two at the weekend to maintain their spot in second place in the Czech First League.

Keane’s Maccabi Tel-Aviv were entertaining to watch and Ferencvaros’ only win during his tenure so far saw them defeat AZ Alkmaar by four goals to three so they are likely to try and remain on the front foot against a Viktoria side that have scored in their last 13 matches.

Ferencvaros vs Viktoria Plzen Tip: Both teams to score
