Ferencvaros vs AZ Prediction

Ferencvaros begin the eighth match day sitting a point above Porto, who are the team occupying 25th, as they now prepare to face an AZ Alkmaar side with little to play for.

Ferencvaros, now under the management of former Maccabi Tel Aviv boss Robbie Keane, had enjoyed three successive victories in this competition before back-to-back defeats either side of the New Year. They most recently suffered a 2-0 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt last week thanks to a brace from former Paris Saint-Germain striker Hugo Ekitike.

AZ Alkmaar started their UEFA Europa League campaign with two defeats in their opening three matches but they have recovered to lift themselves onto 11 points with little chance of a top eight spot but all but certain of finishing in the top 24. They defeated Claudio Ranieri’s Roma by a goal to nil last week thanks to a Troy Parrot winner.

Ferencvaros are under a bit of pressure for this one in Hungary so they will be expected to take the game to AZ this week, especially in Budapest. AZ haven’t been overly attacking and with little motivation, siding with Ferencvaros may appear to be good value for this one.
