FCSB vs PAOK Prediction
In that first-leg at the Toumba Stadium saw PAOK open the scoring via Mbwana Samatta before Taison was sent off in first-half stoppage-time. FCSB turned the game on its in the second-half, though, thanks to goals from substitutes Andrei Gheorghita and Joyskim Dawa.
PAOK are the reigning Greek champions but they have underperformed this season as they sit fourth in the Greek Super League. However, they did recover from their defeat at home to FCSB by hammering Lamia by seven goals to nil at the weekend with a hat-trick from Kostas Konstantelias as well as goals by Samatta, Fyodor Chalov, Andrija Zivkovic and Shola Shoretire.
FCSB enjoyed their own comfortable win domestically the other day, too, as they defeated Gloria Buzau by two goals to nil at Gloria Stadium. That means they have suffered just one defeat in their last nine matches across all competitions with that one loss coming at home to Manchester United in the league phase of the UEFA Europa League last month.
Razvan Lucescu’s PAOK will travel to his home country of Romania needing to get on the front foot but Steaua’s naturally defensive disposition makes them firm favourites to hold on.
