Estudiantes vs Flamengo prediction

In the first-leg of this CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores quarter-final tie at the Maracana in Rio de Janeiro, Flamengo defeated Estudiantes by two goals to one. Pedro and Guillermo Varela scored goals that saw Flamengo race into the lead, before Gonzalo Plata was sent off for the hosts in the 82nd minute and then a Leo Pereira own goal gave Estudiantes a chance as they return to Argentina for the second-leg.

Since their first-leg defeat, Estudiantes have defeated Defensa y Justicia in a hard-fought contest in the Argentine Primera Division the other day. Flamengo have turned themselves into one of the best teams in South America in the last 12 months.

Filipe Luis has done an excellent job in charge of Flamengo and he is becoming a highly-rated coach, and the expectation is that they see Estudiantes off and reach he semi-finals.
