EMPOLI PREVIEW: EVOLVING EMPOLI

Last season, Empoli required three permanent managers to eventually avoid the bottom three and the relegation places on the final day of the season with Davide Nicola securing survival after both Aurelio Andreazzoli and Paolo Zanetti had been sacked.

The Florence-based club, following the appointment of Roberto D’Aversa, had started the season very well but they now come into this one on the back of no wins in their last six matches and a 3-0 defeat at home to Internazionale in their most recent outing.

COMO PREVIEW: CESC’S COMO

Como gained promotion to the top-flight for the first time in over 60 years last year with Oisin Roberts officially in charge but now that Cesc Fabregas has got his coaching badges he is the man officially in charge of the visitors.

They have been very entertaining to watch at the start of this season with their ten matches consisting of 32 goals. They come into this one on the back of being hammered by five goals to one by Lazio.

EMPOLI TEAM NEWS: DEFENSIVE ABSENTEES

Empoli are dealing with key absentees in defensive positions as Samuele Perisan and Saba Sazonov are sidelined alongside Tyronne Ebuehi and Saba Goglichdze.

PREDICTED XI (3-4-2-1): Devis Vasquez; Pezzella, Ismajli, Viti; Gyasi, Anjorin, Maleh, Cacace; Solbakken, Fazzini; Colombo

UNAVAILABLE: Perisan (Injured), Sazonov (Injured), Ebuehi (Injured), Goglichidze (Injured), Esposito (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Zurkowski (Injured)

COMO TEAM NEWS: KEY ABSENTEES

Both Sergi Roberto and Maximo Perrone have picked up injuries that could see them out for a while, whilst Matthias Braunoder is now missing through suspension, too.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Audero; Goldaniga, Dossena, Kempf, Alberto Moreno; Mazzitelli, Engelhardt; Strefezza, Nico Paz, Fadera; Cutrone

UNAVAILABLE: Van Der Brempt (Injured), Braunoder (Suspended), Sergi Roberto (Injured), Kone (Injured), Maximo Perrone (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE:

EMPOLI VS COMO PREDICTION

This one has the potential to be quite an entertaining encounter for the neutral. Roberto D’Aversa is a proactive coach that has played quite a defensive style of football at Empoli but some pressure has grown due to recent underwhelming performances. They now face a Como side that have, as mentioned, been thrilling to watch at both ends of the pitch so both teams scoring does appear a good bet for this one in Florence.

EMPOLI VS COMO TIP: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
