Elche have been one of the stories of the season in Spain’s top-flight but they are collapsing at the moment as they now take on a much-improved Osasuna side.

Kick-off date/time:

How to watch on TV: UK – Premier Sports / US – ESPN have the exclusive rights to La Liga games in the USA, so any game may be televised on one of their affiliated channels

Elche preview: Struggling Elche

Following their promotion to La Liga last season, Elche have been brilliant with the excellent and almost maverick coaching tendencies of Eder Sarabia but they have now drifted to just outside of the bottom three and the relegation places.

The home team most recently suffered a 3-1 loss to Real Sociedad in the Basque Country, which was their third successive defeat in the league, and now means that they are winless in their last seven matches across all competitions.

Osasuna preview: In-form Osasuna

With former Mirandes and Huesca boss Alessio Lisci at the helm, Osasuna started the season slowly but the Pamplona-based outfit have found some excellent form as they push towards the top six or seven and the potential European spots in La Liga.

They have collected ten points from their last four matches in La Liga, having managed to defeat Celta Vigo by two goals to one at Balaidos last weekend, courtesy of goals from Ante Budimir and Raul Garcia.

Elche team news: Affengruber suspended

David Affengruber has been key for Elche this season but he is now missing through suspension, while fellow key defender Hector Fort is not expected back until towards the back end of the campaign.

Predicted XI (3-4-1-2): Inaki Pena; Victor Chust, Federico Redondo, Petrot; John, Neto, Aleix Febas, German Valera; Diangana; Alvaro, Silva

Unavailable: Affengruber (Suspended), Hector Fort (Injured), Josan (Injured)

Questionable: Sangare (Injured), Rafa Mir (Injured)

Osasuna team news: Boyomo out

Cameroon international centre-back Enzo Boyomo is a key man for Osasuna but he is now sidelined through injury, while Iker Benito and Jon Moncayola are longer-term issues.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Sergio Herrera; Rosier, Alejandro Catena, Jorge Herrando, Javi Galan; Aimar Oroz, Iker Munoz; Raul Garcia, Victor Munoz, Raul Moro; Budimir

Unavailable: Boyomo (Injured), Iker Benito (Injured)

Questionable: Jon Moncayola (Injured)

Elche vs Osasuna prediction

Osasuna have been in excellent form of late and they will believe they are capable of pushing themselves back into qualifying for Europe, after playing in the UEFA Europa Conference League a couple of years ago. Elche will attempt to, as they always do, try and play on the front foot, and this should be quite a fun watch for the neutral in which both teams scoring appears the best bet.

Elche vs Osasuna tip: Both teams to score
