Elche preview: Brilliant start

Following their promotion to La Liga last season, it has been a magnificent start to the campaign for Elche as they try and get themselves back to being an established force in the top-flight under the management of Eder Sarabia.

They extended their unbeaten start to the season with a 1-1 draw against Osasuna at El Sadar in Pamplona in midweek, courtesy of a dramatic second-half stoppage-time equaliser scored by former Sevilla left-back Adria Pedrosa.

Celta Vigo preview: Frustrating start

With the brilliant young coaching of Claudio Giraldez, Celta Vigo managed to get themselves a top seven finish and UEFA Europa League qualification last season, but the Galicians have been frustrated at the start of this year.

After a 2-0 loss to Getafe on the opening day, Celta have since shared five successive 1-1 draws before they then began the league phase of the UEFA Europa League with a 2-1 loss to Stuttgart in Germany during the week.

Predicted XI (3-4-3): Inaki Pena; Diaby, Victor Chust, Petrot; Alvaro Nunez, Aleix Febas, Marcos Aguado, Hector Fort; Diangana, Alvaro, Silva

Celta Vigo team news: Couple of issues

As they prepare to take on Elche this weekend, Celta are dealing with a couple of key issues for this one at full-back as Mihailo Ristic remains a doubt, whilst Sergio Carreira is a confirmed absentee.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Radu; Manu Fernandez, Yoel Lago, Marcos Alonso; Oscar Mingueza, Hugo Sotelo, Fran Beltran, Hugo Alvarez; Ilaix Moriba, Bryan Zaragoza; Borja Iglesias

Unavailable: Sergio Carreira (Injured)

Questionable: Ristic (Injured)

Elche vs Celta Vigo prediction

Elche will get themselves on the front foot right from the off. They have attacked La Liga with the vigour and the easy on the eye style of football that got promoted last season. They take on a Celta side that head to the Community of Valencia with a lot of talent in attack of their own, with their own thrilling brand in more of a counter-attacking setup. This should be quite a fun watch for the neutral.
