  • Panama have conceded only two goals in their last seven World Cup qualifying matches.

El Salvador vs Panama prediction

It’s been an inconsistent start to Group A for El Salvador, who currently sit in second-place heading into this latest round of fixtures. Victory over Guatemala was followed up by a narrow 1-2 loss at home to Suriname which saw them lose their place at the top of the table. Now they must face off against Panama, who have recorded back-to-back draws so far.

Expect Panama to try and frustrate El Salvador with plenty of bodies behind the ball when out of possession and a playstyle that revolves around them hitting the hosts on the counter-attack. El Salvador will need to show patience here and not fall into their opponent’s trap. With that in mind, it may well be worth backing under 2.5 goals to be scored over the course of 90 minutes.

El Salvador vs Panama tip: Under 2.5 goals
