Eintracht Frankfurt have stuttered recently after an excellent start, failing to win any of their last three in the Bundesliga and rock-bottom Bochum at home represents the perfect chance to get back to winning ways.

EINTRACHT FRANKFURT PREVIEW: TWO POINTS FROM THE LAST NINE AVAILABLE

Eintracht Frankfurt are still handily placed in the Bundesliga, but putting three points on the board in this game would be most welcome after drawing two and losing one of their last three in the league. However, victory in the DFB-Pokal midweek will have no doubt reinstalled some confidence back into the side.

Hugo Ekitike opened the scoring in first-half stoppage time before Borussia Monchengladbach responded a couple of minutes after the restart. In the end, the prolific Omar Marmoush settled things by scoring the winning goal with 20 minutes to go.

BOCHUM PREVIEW: STILL ONLY A POINT TO THEIR NAME AFTER FOURTH STRAIGHT LOSS

Bochum continue to suffer and suffer badly as they find themselves cut adrift now in the Bundesliga bottom three. Seven points currently separates them from safety after their seventh defeat in the league this season, table toppers Bayern Munich thrashing them by five goals to nil, inflicting further damage on their goal difference.

Having already been knocked out of the DFB-Pokal, Bochum have been afforded a full week on the training pitch to prepare for this match and they’ll need to be at their best in what is a tough assignment.

EINTRACHT FRANKFURT TEAM NEWS: RED CARD RULES OUT THEATE

Defender Arthur Theate was sent off last weekend and his resulting suspension will see him miss the visit of Bochum. He joins Hojlund and Kristensen on the absent list, with both of those two out injured.

PREDICTED XI (3-4-3): Trapp; Tuta, Koch, Amenda; Knauff, Skhiri, Larsson, Nkounkou; Gotze, Ekitike, Marmoush

UNAVAILABLE: Hojlund (Injured), Kristensen (Injured), Theate (Suspended)

BOCHUM TEAM NEWS: TWO UP TOP EXPECTED AGAIN FOR VISITORS

Both Bernardo and Boadu are currently sidelined with knee and hip injuries respectively. A back three should be what we see here from Bochum, with Broschinski and De Wit leading the line in attack.

PREDICTED XI (3-5-2): Drewes; Oermann, Ordets, Medic; Passlack, Sissoko, Masovic, Losilla, Wittek; Broschinski, De Wit

UNAVAILABLE: Bernardo (Injured), Boadu (Injured)

EINTRACHT FRANKFURT VS BOCHUM PREDICTION

When considering that Eintracht Frankfurt are taking on a Bochum side who have lost seven of their eight Bundesliga fixtures, conceding a whopping 22 goals in the process, there is no excuse for Eintracht Frankfurt not to dominate against an opponent desperately low on confidence and quality. Whilst they may not make it easy for themselves when considering their own recent struggles, Eintracht should still come through with three points here.
