Dynamo Kyiv were crowned Ukrainian champions last season due to Shakhtar Donetsk’s mini collapse to third. They will be expected to reach the league phase of a UEFA competition and they made a good start to the tournament with a comfortable and heavy 3-0 hammering of Hamrun Spartans in the first-leg of this UEFA Champions League first-qualifying round tie last week.
Hamrun pulled off a dramatic comeback defeat of Zalgiris Vilnius on penalties in the first qualifying round earlier this month, but Dynamo Kyiv are a much tougher test and the Ukrainians should wrap up a comfortable two-legged win this week.
