Key stats

  • Dominica are unbeaten in the previous 11 international matches between these teams (W9 D2).
  • Dominica have won only two of their last 18 World Cup qualifying matches (D3 L13).
  • Excluding penalty shoot-outs, the British Virgin Islands are without a win in their previous 18 World Cup qualifying matches (D5 L13).

Dominica vs British Virgin Islands prediction

Dominica come into this one on the back of back-to-back goalless draws with Barbados in a couple of friendlies in early-to-mid-May. That backed up a goalless draw with Antigua and Barbuda in the CONCACAF Nations League in March and that means they are now winless in their last seven matches.

They are one of the weaker sides in North America but they face a side that are arguably even worse. The British Virgin Islands did manage to share a 1-1 draw with Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in their most recent outing the other day to follow a 1-0 loss to Anguilla last month, and they themselves are winless inside 90 minutes in their last 14 games.

Both of these sides are among the weakest teams in the confederation of CONCACAF and their lack of quality has often produced very few goals so a low-scoring encounter is to be expected.

Dominica vs British Virgin Islands tip: Under 2.5 goals
