Key Stats
- Djibouti have won only two of their previous 30 World Cup qualifying matches (D3 L25). They are without a win in the last 16 (D2 L14), since a 2-1 victory against Eswatini in September 2019.
- Only one of Sierra Leone’s last 21 World Cup qualifying matches finished without a goal being scored.
Djibouti vs Sierra Leone Prediction
In their nine CAF qualifying matches for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Group A, Djibouti have collected just one point from their nine matches so far this season. They most recently suffered a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Egypt due to a brace from Mohamed Salah and a goal from Ibrahim Adel the other day.
They now face a Sierra Leone side that are firmly ensconced in the middle of Group A, sitting 11 points adrift of group winners Egypt and six behind second place Burkina Faso. Sierra Leone suffered a slender 1-0 defeat to the aforementioned Burkinabe outfit the other day.
Sierra Leone are hardly a dominant force in Africa but they really should ease themselves to a comfortable victory this weekend.
