Derby vs Portsmouth prediction

Derby County come into this one on the back of a 3-0 hammering of rock-bottom crisis club Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough with a brace from Patrick Agyemang, as well as a Liam Thompson strike. The Rams now sit firmly in the middle-of-the-table but just four points adrift of the top six and the playoff places.

They now face a Portsmouth side that have struggled throughout this campaign with five victories in their 20 matches so far this season. However, that fifth victory did come last weekend as Pompey came from behind in the second-half to defeat Blackburn Rovers by two goals to one, thanks to Callum Lang and Ibane Bowat strikes.

Portsmouth will believe they can be stubborn enough against Derby on Saturday afternoon, and it really isn’t expected to be a thriller for the neutral at Pride Park.

Derby vs Portsmouth tip: Under 2.5 goals
