Denmark vs Northern Ireland prediction

Former Anderlecht manager Brian Riemer was appointed Denmark boss during the October international break, eventually replacing Kasper Hjulmand who departed in the summer after UEFA EURO 2024. The Danes took Portugal to extra-time in their quarter-final of the UEFA Nations League in March, but eventually succumbed to a 5-3 loss on aggregate.

They now face a Northern Ireland side that, once again coached by Michael O’Neill, most recently suffered a 5-1 annihilation at the hands of a new look and impressive Sweden side in a friendly a couple of months ago, which was just their second defeat in their last 12 matches since a 4-0 defeat to Finland in November 2023.

Denmark showed some signs of improvement in March, but the Green and White Army will be keen to avoid another hammering in Scandinavia, so a more low-scoring affair seems likely.

Denmark vs Northern Ireland tip: Denmark to win & under 3.5 goals
