Key stats
- Cyprus have won only one of their last 12 World Cup qualifying matches (D2 L9).
- Bosnia and Herzegovina are unbeaten in their last eight World Cup qualifying matches away from home (W5 D3), since a 2-3 defeat against Cyprus on 31 August 2017.
Cyprus vs Bosnia-Herzegovina prediction
Cyprus come into this one on the back of an entertaining 2-2 draw against Romania at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia during the September international break. The Cypriots have been regressing for quite a while and they have managed just one win, against San Marino, in their five qualifiers thus far.
They now face a Bosnia-Herzegovina side that have been very impressive at the start of Group H and they remain above Austria on goal difference in their push for qualification. However, they were beaten 2-1 by the Austrians in Sarajevo last week, with Austria having a game-in-hand on the Bosnians.
Bosnia-Herzegovina have an excellent opportunity to ensure they could go into the playoffs and a cautious approach to ensure the avoidance of defeat would help that.
Cyprus vs Bosnia-Herzegovina tip: Double chance – Bosnia-Herzegovina to win or draw
